Alive and Kicking

Everyday I live a little less
of my life, as I digress
one mile off-centered from my dream-nest
shifted by his cutting gaze.

I build a new house
and live (unknown)
someone else’s life
I call my own.

You only have ONE life, so live it as your OWN.

That's how I roll.

Thanks Skayrkro and saga for reading and your comments.

The poem is about transition and internal change. In a way, growth is about embracing a foreign person, thought or idea, and getting used to it gradually.

Thanks again for reading!
